GunFolio ("GunFolio", "we", "us") is a private inventory and record-keeping app for firearm owners — a place to catalog your firearms, ammunition, magazines, accessories, and parts, and to log range days and maintenance. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the GunFolio app or website (gunfolio.co), you agree to this policy.

We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. GunFolio is a tool for you to keep private records — it is not a marketplace and does not facilitate the sale, purchase, or transfer of firearms or ammunition.

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and sign you in with a one-time emailed code (no password).
Content you create. The records you add — firearms, ammunition, magazines, accessories, parts, range sessions, maintenance logs, storage locations, notes, and photos. This can include sensitive details you choose to enter, such as serial numbers and where items are stored.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to GunFolio Plus, our billing providers record your subscription status. We never receive or store your full payment-card number.
Usage and device data. Basic technical information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service (e.g. app version and error logs).

You can use GunFolio in local-only mode without an account. In that case your records stay on your device and are not sent to our servers. Cloud backup and cross-device sync only happen if you choose to sign in.

How we use your information

To provide the app's core features — storing your inventory and logs, and (if you sign in) backing them up and syncing them across your devices.
To manage your GunFolio Plus subscription and entitlements.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose and fix problems.

GunFolio has no advertising and no AI features, and we do not use your content for either.

Where your data is stored

Your records live on your device. If you sign in, they are also stored in your own access-controlled account so they can back up and sync. Photos you add are stored privately and served to you over expiring, signed links. Your data is scoped to your account — other users cannot access it.

Service providers we share data with

We share the minimum data needed with vendors that operate the service on our behalf:

Supabase — account sign-in, database, and private photo storage.
RevenueCat and Apple (and Stripe for any web purchases) — subscription billing and entitlement management. On iOS, payment is processed by Apple.
Render and Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for our backend and website.

We do not share your inventory records with anyone else, and we do not disclose them except where required by law.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your account, your synced records, and your stored photos from our systems.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. This is immediate and irreversible. If you use local-only mode, deleting the app removes your on-device data. You can also email us and we will delete your data on request.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our providers' security controls; on-device data is protected by your device's encryption. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information — including sensitive fields such as serial numbers and storage locations.

Children

GunFolio is rated 17+ and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your records in the app, export them, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access or delete your personal information; contact us to exercise them.

GunFolio is a personal record-keeping tool and does not provide legal advice. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding the ownership, storage, transport, and use of firearms and ammunition.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.
